Kalel Productions are specialists in factual entertainment. We believe that no show should be entertaining without imparting some useful wisdom, and likewise, no programme should ever be too factual without being enjoyable to watch. Everything touched by Kalel Productions, from comedy sketch shows to science/adrenaline programming, has these two qualities in abundance.

Kalel Productions Ltd was set up by Nick Parnes and Hannah Cantor in January 2005.

Nick Parnes - Production & Development

Nick was Manager of the Production and On Air department and head of development for MTV Emerging Markets before setting up Kalel Productions with Hannah in 2005. Nick has worked for many production companies and cut his teeth in the late 90’s producing and directing long-form features and shorter live performances at MTV Networks Europe. He has worked as a freelance producer/director on several mainstream shows for the major networks, some of which are listed below.

Swag

Nick was series director on Swag for the first and second series for FIVE. He helped write and direct the stunts, create the links, and played a key role in the team for this Monkey TV production.

Popworld

Nick produced the VT's on Popworld in the days of Simon and Miquita for At It Productions, and has since produced several music-orientated shows for Channel 4, FIVE, MTV, and Emap.

MTV: 15 Years In Europe

Nick was asked back to MTV to produce their 90-minute show to celebrate MTV Europe's 15-year anniversary.

Grand Slam

As well as helping to create this exciting game show for masterminds on Channel 4 for Monkey TV, Nick has worked on many different styles of programmes from chat shows with live music to long-form documentaries.
